COVID-19 Safety Measures

In line with the recent changes to Government guidance and the end of Plan B restrictions, from Thursday, January 27 the NEC will no longer require visitors to pass through COVID-19 status checks at the entry points to the venue. This has been agreed upon in collaboration with the UK Health Security Agency.

The NEC encourages visitors to continue to take lateral flow tests before arrival, although this is no longer a requirement. Visitors are also kindly asked not to attend if they: are displaying symptoms, have been asked to self-isolate or live with an individual who has symptoms of COVID-19.

Face coverings are also no longer required to be worn, but the NEC recommends their use throughout the venue and on shuttle buses to and from the venue.

The NEC has installed over 600 hand sanitising stations throughout the venue and has recently undertaken a full recommission of its mechanical ventilation equipment and upgrade of its filtration to ensure clean and safe air is circulated throughout the NEC.

The NEC is committed to providing safe and secure environments for all persons on site. In order to achieve this, the venue fully complies with Government guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19 and has a number of measures in place, covered within its Venue Protect Framework.
