2022 Exhibitor Testimonials

After more than two years away, our exhibitors could not wait to get their products and services back in front of visitors. Here is what they had to say following their time at the exhibition in April 2022.

“P&P LIVE! 2022 was a great chance to get back in front of show customers for the first time since COVID. It was great to back at P&P LIVE! and to reconnect with customers, both old and new again. The interest across the garment range was really pleasing and with a good number of new accounts already opened, we are looking forward to another good year.”

Martin Wistow, sales manager, Behrens

“The long awaited Printwear & Promotion LIVE! 2022 was a great show for Amaya in many aspects. First and foremost, lovely to be back in front of people, catching up with existing customers on how the past couple of years has been for their business, and meeting new contacts to learn what their plans are for the future and how we can help. With a bigger team than 2020, some of our newbies were able to see what we had all been harping on about since they joined and I think the variety of new exhibitors compared with 2020, made for a more interesting mix at the show than previously. The great feedback we had from our visitors has made all the hard work worthwhile.”

– Charlotte Darling, director, Amaya Sales UK

“We had a great show, it was brilliant to be able to chat face to face with customers again and receive such great feedback about our products. As always, it was a great opportunity to showcase our newest products and gather feedback from our valued customers. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the visitors and existing customers who came by our stand and made it such a success.”

Nicki Roberts, brand marketing executive, Regatta Professional

“Printwear & Promotion LIVE! continues to be the only event that covers all aspects of garment decoration. It was the perfect platform to introduce our new DTF technology.”

Jim Nicol, managing director, TheMagicTouch

“It was a great few days for us. We have seen our visitor numbers to our stand grow by around 30%, with a nicely balanced mix of new and existing customers from a variety of markets. It’s important for us to get our products into peoples’ hands so they can really appreciate the quality of our stock range vs. the more established sports brands. There are plenty of new products being developed, which we are excited to show you in February 2023!”

Tim Roberts, sales director, Chadwick Teamwear

“After two years away, it was fantastic to be able to showcase the best from Xpres, Kustom Kit and Vanilla to the industry once again. As ever, our stand was really busy throughout and we were particularly delighted with the reaction to the new DTF solutions that we launched at the show.”

Ryan Hornbuckle, marketing director, Xpres, Kustom Kit and Vanilla

“It was a pleasure to be back at P&P LIVE! this year, welcoming back attendees new and old to this great event. After so long away it was our first opportunity to showcase our new Craghoppers Expert range directly to the wider market. We had some very positive meetings and conversations on the range, with the sustainability and GORE-TEX stories driving great opportunity and new business moving into the future. It was reassuring to see the Craghoppers Expert Brands’ awareness has been doing well in the market, with customers actively looking for our stand as well as attracting new customers through our strong stand presence at the show.”

Keith Browning, sales director, Craghoppers Expert

“Wow, what a show! It was great to be back and welcome so many visitors on our stand over the three days! Our team heard lots of positive stories of orders being won on our brands and it was very encouraging to see how strongly this industry is bouncing back. The show gave our team the opportunity to take visitors though our product ranges and to provide help and advice on selling our brands. The importance of getting product in hand to understand the features and benefits remains and the show gave us a great opportunity to do this.”

Andrew Clark, sales director UK and Ireland, Fruit of the Loom and Russell Europe

“As a first-time exhibitor at Printwear & Promotion LIVE!, we were very pleased with the number of contacts that we made. It was great to talk to so many garment decorators and to discuss their individual needs, with many different types of equipment and perspectives on how they print. I really enjoyed the friendly vibe of the show and how receptive everyone was. It was great to be able to interact with prospects and to get them to actually feel the softness of the garments that our inks produce.”

Mark Priest, business development manager, GIF Supplies

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the show, it was great to see so many familiar faces in the industry after two years apart. Printwear & Promotion LIVE! provides a great platform for us to welcome back our customers both new and old who are looking to discuss opportunities, to see new products and to explore new brands with us. I am already excited to get back again next year!”

Brendan Thomas, business development manager, Prestige Leisure UK

“It was fantastic to exhibit this year at P&P LIVE!, especially after an extended hiatus! We were really excited to show off our 60cm DTF solution and it was great to have a packed out stand full of interested purchasers! DTF was definitely the talk of the show and it was pleasing to see that so many people liked our solution!”

Alex Mighall, operations manager, R A Smart

“The response and feedback on the new products in particular at the show was phenomenal! The whole Stanley/Stella team was proud to support P&P LIVE! 2022.”

Sebastien Williams, UK and Ireland sales manager, Stanley/Stella

“We have been exhibiting at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! for nearly 30 years now. This year was a complete unknown for any exhibitor. Would COVID put people off attending? Would the price of fuel deter people from travelling? What would the attendance be like? Well, we were pleasantly surprised. I only wish with hindsight that I had booked a larger stand. We had no idea how many visitors would attend. From what I could see on our stand, this was probably the best show ever, with a very high number of visitors. On Sunday, which is always a busy day, we had a lot newer visitors/ customers to our stand. I would like to thank all the visitors to our stand. And finally, a very big thank you to Tony, Mel, Dan and all the team at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! who made this show the best ever. See you in 2023.”

Jas Purba, managing director, ETC Supplies

“Printwear & Promotion LIVE! was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with customers, existing and new, after a challenging couple of years. We had some great conversations with our customers around how we can support them with opportunities, along with challenges that they may be facing. We also had lots of useful feedback from visitors, and we’re eager to act on their comments as soon as possible!”

Mike Symons, director of marketing and sales, PenCarrie

“One of the most colourful shows at Birmingham’s NEC was back with a spring in its step after its two-year hibernation. New customers came to walk the red carpet and see our new hoodies and T shirts, and other products were rekindled and refreshed in the better weather with relationships rediscovered.”

Peter Tiany, Innovation Schoolwear’s BDM covering the Midlands

“Our Tee Jays team would like to thank everyone who visited our stand and made Printwear & Promotion LIVE! 2022 a great success. It was good to be back in Birmingham and our stand received a large number of visitors, both our good old customers, as well as new ones. We had a really good time at the show and were happy to welcome all the visitors – we are looking forward to seeing you next time!

Peter Høfler, CEO and owner, Tee Jays

“As our first time at this show, and indeed the garment market which is completely new to us, we really did not know what to expect. The show was very professional and all the people that attended were so friendly and interested in what we are offering. Although we didn’t make any sales on the day, we have some amazing prospects to follow up on.”

Steve Woods, managing director, AXZYRA

“This year’s P&P LIVE! was a great success for AWDis Brands. It was a great opportunity to meet our customers old and new, while being able to showcase the high-quality products we have.”

James Homan, business development manager, AWDis Brands

“It was as if the trade were at the starting blocks and at 10am Sunday morning you fired the gun – we were non-stop throughout the show! We received a fantastic response to our new plain stock and our established bespoke headwear expertise – we can’t wait until next year’s show! Orders have already started to flow in we have never had such a reaction from all shows we have attended in the past.”

Tony Marks, director, Product Zone

“There have been many entrants into the market who had not had the opportunity to see so many products in this way before. In that sense the show was well timed in bringing these new entrepreneurs to our stand. It was their excitement and enthusiasm which really made it a pleasure for our team to show and discuss even more ways in which they could reimagine our products as part of their own brand.”

Luca Conte, commercial manager, Beechfield Brands

“Printwear & Promotion LIVE! 2022 was our first exhibition as a company and was a huge success for us. We met some great people and companies during the event and have a list of promising business opportunities as a result. We received a lot of support and wisdom from other experienced exhibitors which we’re grateful for and share a huge thanks to all of the visitors that came to speak with us.”

Alex Cunliffe, co-founder, Inkthreadable

“This year’s P&P LIVE! was the best for us in at least five years. The enthusiasm of those attending that are looking to start, run or grow their business was infectious. So many attendees were ready to invest in the right technology to take their business to the next level with our custom heat transfers.”

Andy Rogers, marketing manager, Target Transfers

“We had another great show this year, a good calibre of visitor and a good number of machine orders. We’ve already had a chat with Tony to reserve our stand for next year!”

Mark Hobkirk, managing director, Hobkirk Sewing Machines

“It was great to be able to reconnect in person with our industry. While overall visitor numbers were apparently down, the Madeira stand was constantly busy and we all enjoyed the face to face communication. We were delighted with the interest in our two new ranges of sustainable threads.”

Andrew Maylor, sales director, Madeira UK

“Glad to be back at P&P LIVE! I enjoyed meeting new and existing clients and look forward to generating new and exciting business.”

Jacque Kelly, sales executive, Netdigitizing

“It was great to be back at Printwear & Promotion LIVE!, to catch up with long standing friends, as well as meeting new faces.”

Mark Smith, managing director, Adelco

“The SPW team had a great time at P&P LIVE! 2022. Although it seemed that there were less in attendance, we found it was definitely quality over quantity. Everyone was there to buy products or invest in their business which is amazing. Considering recent times, it’s still great to know that the garment printing industry is booming, with more and more investing in eco-friendly or sustainable products.”

Dave Roper, managing director, Screen Print World

“I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the show, being around many printing and embroidery enthusiasts but most of all networking and discovering new potential clients/ customers. Overall, it was a very exciting three days, meeting customers, networking with brands and creating new relationships. We have left the show with a large number of sales leads, so we can start to form relationships with new businesses and tailor our service to fit their individual business requirements.”

Catriana Turner, e-commerce manager, Print Hero

“This was our first time exhibiting at P&P LIVE! and what a great experience it was. I have been supporting companies in this industry to obtain print and embroidery equipment for five years now, so to meet so many of them and to hear how their new embroidery machine, or new DTF printer has truly made an impact on how they run their business was exhilarating. The show itself was very well organised and I look forward to seeing everyone again next year. We supported a wide range of P&P LIVE! exhibitors to close over £250,000 worth of business over the weekend and will carry on supporting these suppliers as sales continue to filter through.”

Alex Hall, national account manager, Shire Leasing

“What a reunion it was at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! 2022! We had an incredible three days meeting both customers old and new alike. After a two year break it was great catching up with everyone. The team are eager in anticipation of 2023 and are already missing being at the show, thank you to everyone who attended the show and took time to visit us and look forward to working with you all soon and seeing you next year at the show!”

Shabbir Maimoon, director, Snuggle

“We made record sales on the stand, selling our Merlin Pro embroidery machines, as well as heat presses and Brother PR machines.”

Annette Sucharewycz, sales manager, GS UK

“This was the first show I have attended with Bursali, and my first ever as an exhibitor. It was a real buzz to be ‘back to normal’ after so long, finally being able to meet existing customers and potential new customers in person. As marketing manager, it was great to talk to customers about everything we offer – and show them too.”

Beth Vallender, marketing manager, Bursali Towels
